Try to imagine the sun without the moon, salt without sugar, day without night, good without evil … everything that exists has its opposite, its double beyond a cosmic mirror in which is reflected in the world of being.

Opposite does not necessarily mean evil, it simply marks a diversity. God created man in his image and likeness, it is written in Genesis, and created him male and female. This shows that God is simultaneously Father and Mother. Everything that exists on this plane therefore has a sex. Pomba Gira is the female counterpart of Exù, the Exù Mulher (Exù Female) as they say in Brazil.

By the name of Pomba Gira, in Brazil, we mean a real phalanx of female Exù.

Each of us, male or female, has an Exù and a Pomba Gira, because the female is present in the male and vice versa. This concept has nothing to do with homosexuality. It is in the nature of man to have a female and a male part, regardless of one’s birth gender. If each male Orixà has one or more Exus that act in his vibration (Line), each female Orixà has one or more Pomba Giras that act in his. We can therefore say that every man, male or female that he is, in addition to having a male Orixà that protects him, also has a female Orixà that harmonizes his vibrational field and could not be otherwise. In the same way, each of us has a male Exù and an female Exù, a Pomba Gira.
