Bomfim ribbons come from Bahia and receive blessing during Celebration of Saint (Our Lord Jesus Christ, Oxalà).

Ribbons can be worn as protective bracelets.

Available in a big variety of different colours, they are devotional amulets in the true sense of word, able to protect people from evil.

Bracelets has to be worn, three knots must be made, concentrating on a request to submit to the saint and pledge him to give him a gift once request will be granted. Tradition says people who will receive what they asked for must then keep faithful to the vow made and honour the entity.
