First news we have on dowsing pendulum date back to 2000 years before Christ, in Egypt, in the King Valley. Objects used as pendulums and dowsing sticks made of different materials and adorned with gems and stones were found in the sarcophagus. There are many ways of making a pendulum, pyramid-shaped, spherical, made of brass, crystal, silver, gold, though it is crucial that pendulum has the right prospecting towards the table and its weight must be at least 12 gram, whereas there is no restriction on the length of the chainlet (or string) from which the pendulum is hanging. It is good to know though that a longer chainlet slows the swings down while a shorter one speeds them up. The perfect chainlet for a pendulum of 12gr is 20 cm long.
