Pretos Velhos are the spirits of black slaves who distinguished themselves for their wisdom, however, and their vast knowledge level and magical healing. They are the guardian of traditional mythic Africa. They are represented as the old bent by the years that, pipe in mouth and limbs trembling, dispense spiritual advice and materials. Their most salient feature is the goodness, accompanied by a sense of deep humility and patience. The soul of India in Brazil, however, is reflected in the worship of caboclos, spiritual entities in the world that the Amazon came into contact with the world of African slaves, is expressed in a very special devotion. These are mostly Indian warriors who distinguished themselves by their courage and their strength. Are portrayed as the typical Indian with bow and arrows and adorned with feathers, bracelets and other jewelry typical of that culture.
